Great Departure

It's finally May 1st! Long awaited day is here... Feelings? Both excited and anxious. I just realized its my 1 trip out of Asia (from what I can remember) alone! Busy with packing, planning and researching for this day. Also met up with all my close friends for meals and chats before I leave.

Hope this is going to be what I expected from the month worth of read up. Mum kept annoying me with possible kidnapping cases and health issues. Appreciate it but PLEASE let nothing of such sort happen to me (and all the travelers out there). She also kept bugging about bringing more clothings and supplements. Have to travel light with tight budget as this is a warm up/ test before any other greater adventures in the future.

Just got my new phone btw, a Galaxy SL! Still figuring out how to use it effectively. It's gonna be favourite handheld throughout the trip. Aside from that, its all about instincts and social skills.

The return of the ME

After 2 years of national service, I've decided to revive my blog. Deserting it for a long time was intentional as it can save me lots of trouble filtering what to blog about during the 2 years in army (they are actually quite effective in hunting down bloggers who blog about ns life!) However, as a civilian today, my life would be more than seeing green and listening to bullshit!

This log (after nearly 2 years) will be primarily on what I've learnt and choices made over the months. Honestly, NS isn't as bad as many people think, well... maybe that's because I've got a better posting? 2 years of your youth sacrificed: For myself, I gained quite a number of things!

1. A broader social network

They say while serving, you can meet sorts of people from all trades and background. I'd like to thank these people for teaching me the meaning of life and how the world goes round. From the humble high ranking officers, down-to-earth colleagues and loyal delinquents. Can't be for sure if they'll remember me in 10 years time but I wish I could tell them how influential (+ve & -ve) their actions and words are to me! Just hope that they are the group of friends whom I can classify under "worth meeting up for a meal" in the long run. Never know if they might be my neighbor's relative, colleague's son, friend's spouse, etc?

2. How the working society works

This actually come in 2 parts: one of office politics and the other on awareness. I can't believe I'm actually praising the government for giving me 2 years (which is ridiculously long) of pre-work life experience. No worry of being sacked nor the need to compete for promotion since, like what every1 said: serve n Foff! I've seen how people can rise to backstabbing, the harsh reality of having to lose out in work opportunities because of qualifications (yes,the cert society). There's CG+C no 100% by right methods of doing things and every1 in the office knows this! Which brings me to the part on awareness. I've given myself a double confirmation on my own character: peace-loving. I'd say there's no 1 in my office I'd offend or mistreat, it's just my way of staying self-protective. What if one day he got your 把柄 or change to have you as a scapegoat? Despite this, I've learnt to not 'get eaten' and taken advantage of by maintaining a certain level of authority 'aura'.

3. My class 3 driving license!

Monetarily, this is the most fruitful gain! I've saved $1000+ for the little blue card not mentioning the experience on road and knowing my way around (fuel is expensive!)

4. From J to K

There'll be no better morale booster than watching some pretty plastic girls performing catchy songs. Initially I've paid 0 attention to them until that became the only thing that's the only thing on TV 8 to 5 daily. With every1 around me talking about it, it is impossible to just ignore it, hence the outcome. Furthermore, Kpop has taken over Jpop on the most played playlist in my Ipod (in terms of number of singles). Some awesome songs will be added to my piano repertoire in the future!

5. Pick and Drop

I don't know why its so hard to keep an interest alive! How is it possible my time spent on Variety shows > dramas/movies? Tennis and running over basketball? There's no computer game that can consume my attention for more than 2 hours! Nevertheless, I've gained interest in the most awesome things like travelling and teaching!

(6. I learnt that I've an sensitive stomach which can cause heartburns! All happened after my wisdom tooth surgery)

I believe these are the highlights and I'm sure there are more!

Some updates on life: Been pretty busy with trip planning. Since i can't join Shawn and Smurf on their epic journey to Europe, I decided to path out my own mini adventure in Australia. After which its Korea with my ex-colleague/senior. Budgeting, itinerary, contacts and packing list... so many things to think about! But GOSH I LOVE IT! Trust me, its exciting just by thinking and planning for a trip! Also spend some time with friends whom I've hardly been in touch with. Physical training for the overseas trips (need to stamina to run away from danger and strength to work). Last but not least, read read read, filling up my general knowledge vault essential for socializing!

Before movin on to Thailand trip... need to blog abt Afamosa!!! While its still fresh in the mind... So late then log coz haven got pics from bro.

Day 0
Arrived at KL midnite, took the $50 grassland bus, got tv, business class seat (leg stretched out while seating oso nv touch the front lool)The songs sukd and movies quite old de. The driver can fark off... stupid ahne, tell him so many times i stopping at Serdang, he happily and SLOWLY drove past that rest house -.-. Bo bian i alight at the interchange wif zengjie where yujie and feifei come pick us, thanks! Bathe and Zzz at 5shu hse.

Day 1
Depart to leehoms' place in the morning, by LRT. Nice experience, coz the train abit diff from wad u see in sg... abit less cramped, more fast... but the door damn noisy. As though it acts to wake those who dozed off when it shuts/opens. Leehom picked me up at the station then go makan at his hse. Then... set off for Afamosa of course, traffic jam, we arrived abit late liaoz, the rest of the pple chiong all the 'nice' games le. Practically theres nth, and the infrastructure is saii! Out of nowhere, bare-land, a spot in the vast fields, theres tis temporary hall where all the game stations are. Theres archery, Go kart, Paintball range (war games at somewer else), horse riding, etc. But... why all these cramped around the 'hut', its fkin hot and dusty.

After several shots, the adults tried too... zhao to see the villa! Yes... villa, thats the best thing in this trip. Theres a private pool in each unit, 3 rooms and total of 2 toilets. Living room and dining area bigger than homes' lol. When ten-pu-tong went into the pool, some of us got itched to jus jump inside. Darn ian kor go n do some tsunami simulation, wad resonance nonsense, shouldn't have suggested to him... the pool water almost 1/10 gone. Arnd 5+, sian of pool le, went to bathe and makan. Wth sia, the pool water abit weird, those who went to dip can feel this burning feel even after batheing budden hor... our skin is uber smooth! macam got flour on fingertips.

Nasi Lemak for dinner and off to cowboy town. Duno for wad retarded reason, got many people come, which eventually attracted some of us to go in as well. Tix were arnd RM35 (lucky got bring ic, cheaper) Bro, leijie, chuin, yongjie, hweejie and youyou were inside since 7+. Me, leehom, yige and cyan joined after that. So that makes 10 of us tio scammed into tis crappy place.The onli nice ting inside is the parade bah. Which wer we spend most of the time at (almost 2 hrs+) They kept using the same staff/cast/performers, change abit here and there. 1st got some Red indian show, fire juggler/breather/eater... the mcee suk big time, wen he go "are u happy"... then the audience go "... ... ... " Reason: he mumbles, speak some alien accent which can be understood after multiple repitation. The most fun part abt this red indian show is youyou tio saboed by us to go up to the front to perform lol... Gd ting is, she quite steady la, unlike others who go there laugh laugh onli. She had to do some retarded chicken dance lol and howl/wadeva u call it like a red indian. Duno she happy or sian, tio saboed to go up, nv tio shoot by her after that, so should b happy bah.

Next item is the real parade... lets see, got a weird combination of animals: chickens runnning out (WTH?), camel, elephant humping show lol, birds, chimp, tiger, lion, snake, orangutan, dogs(0.0), parrots, horses, etc (forgot)... The carriages/ hua che was real bad, lousy decorations. The nicest part is the cowboy part... got few 'robbers' dashing out on horse, than some sheriff chase after em on hosrse oso. Everything happened damn fast and they wez shooting empty rounds. The rest were dressed up goons parading and they kept repeating sia... why cant they repeat the cowboy 1 lol, to me thats the best part. We're quite lucky can get upclose shows coz bro waz sitting at the front and taking pics with his slr wif a fkinbig lense, so many performers stop infront of him to get pics taken (small digital cams can screw off!)

After parade, got fireworks, Sweet! Then we go walk walk arnd the mini park, really nth after like 2 rounds arnd the meeting pt square so we go play bowling. Woohoo, the bowling is pawnage lool... 1stly, the balls so rough and dirty, The holes were dented/chipped... 2ndly, the computer can go junk yard le. I go gutter, then record strike... Strike become 0... If not, 1 time can throw 4 times, the alley and detect any falling pins. End up some of our scores quite high and some damn shyt. Thats abt all at Cowboy town. Got this gay dance thats dwelling in me our mind sia (its performed by a few akuas in santa/ cowboy costume, with xmas carols as bckgrnd music) When we got back to the villa, the adults all Zzz le, we (me, hom, you, cyan and yige) makan some leftovers + cup noodles and talk kok till like 4am then Zzz.

Day 2
Went water park with yuinjie, you, hom, yige and cyan. Not as great as we expected coz some slides down for renovation. We also gave those slides requiring tubes a miss coz we forgot take out $$ from locker to go rent. Wack the 5storey slides many times, got the covered de and open de. The covered 1 is... really dark wen u were inside the slide, sheng shou bu jian 5 zhi! The open de can be quite scary coz at times u felt that ur goin off 'track'. Played both until sian le then go chiong the real extreme 1. Yuijie call it the signature slide coz its on the ads. No joke, its damn high, i even miscount the flight of steps taken to go up, all i noe is reach the top damn tired le, arnd 8 stories i tink. At the top need to queue up, i'd sae its really worth it. Lets describe the slide in a simple dramatic illustration.
1. Guard says go, Off me go!
2. I waz thinking to meself " wah, quite slow, not so scary afterall"
3. suddenly, got one bright bright 'hole' in front, n me iz sliding towards it.
4. WTF!!! PLLLLLLUNNGGGGGGEEEDDDDD
5. If memory serves rite, i wz definately in mid air, and butt land after 2.5 secs on this super inclined slide. around 75degs from horizontal.
6. Pawned! I forgot to scream sia, freakd out for that 2 secs... After that its like f-1, stopped at the 'pit', splashing water, reminds me of norbit lol, out of track.

1 conclusion... I'd never never never visit Afamosa ever ever ever again. Mayb for curious jackasses can visit once and i mean onli ONCE... u'll know how i felt after the 2 days.
Went town to get lunch (those who nv go park haven eat), damn coincidence, we saw ahbing! Lol! At Meleka? With his new gf? Msia not small sia, but can meet him there, same town, walking past our cars. We went to this ulu coffee shop to makan, the towkay like quite shocked as though his shop 1st time so many pple. The horde of us occupied all the seats in his shop le.I ordered the 'dong gan bing' (super touching ice) out of curiosity... -.- its some sour plum, jelly, ice and lime juice... Scammed!

Got back to pagoh and slack for the nex 3 days. I jus realised im a gd storyteller or... liar lol. What happened wz... In the afternoon damn hot, so i jus slopped at the 2nd storey, listening to music n psping. Ten alwez come bug me, bo bian but to entertain her. She started telling me the lion king story so i oso tell her some crap stories... all made up sia! Seriously, jus start with a ny subject that comes to mind then jus continue, linking to any bullshit i can tink on the spot. Lucky she believe coz its full of loopholes and by the time she ask 'shushu, y like... neh?' alrdy prepare ans le :P

Weds depart for sg le. Stay in pagoh countdown oso quite meaningless since alot zhao liao. Had lunch at the organic farm near airhitam. Freakin large piece of land, famous for its dragonfruit. If its me... confirm built themepark liao, with all the insane rides :) Ate the black pepper chic rice wich tasted like fried rice with oily chicken chunks... The dragonfruit juice waz nice though.

Love family outings total got arnd 8 cars lol... 30+ pple went. Last year was with mum's side de couzes at indonesia (lampung)... tis year at msia :)
Even though Afamosa sux, we went as a large grp, grumbled as a grp and had fun together. The more the merrier ...OSH!!!

Last years' old and new... waz at home, jus got back from Jakarta, sibei tired, blog liao then go orhorh le. This year go out with a bunch of guys. Haha, but also came back from overseas on the 31st Dec. Went to marina bay that area for countdown and see fireworks. Hmmm, got pangpang, aizen, drew, ruien, ben, fenru, sq, yanjun and rp. I earliest to reach JE sia... kns i tot i late lah, in the end most pple arrive 30mins later. Anywaes we reached esplanade there at arnd 9++... still quite early so go laupasa makan... after that wen we head back to the bay G_G liaoz, sibei crowded, have to squeeze with lots of yalam and ah nez... In the end we find a place not far from this temporary toilet and station there... still got fkin lots of pple though. The pictures of the fireworks sukd coz i duno how to use zengjie's cam... then those fkin yalams kept pushing my arm...

Fireworks this year like kinda shitty, 2mins+ onli, then like very normal normal type. The 1 at Afamosa still more chio la (will come to that next post on msia trip)... Anywaes, its rather stupid, coz we cramped ourselves there jus to watch that few mins show... haha, i guess the onli purpose is outing and gathering la. Ended up at cck mac to chill, drew n fenru zhao liao. Crap, mac close at 2am lol? I tot 24hrs de, we got chased out so jus gather around outside. Saw sqs' didi sia, look more like older bro lol. Hitch a ride on bros' car, he wuz celebrating with his frens at panjang.

Xmas party - An invitation from Jia Han aka "Samuel"

've always got tis misconception that churches and christians are like... the western/angmor ting... duno why, even though i got some chinese, indonesian frens who are christians. Anywaes, it was an awesome day spent at Sam's church... or should i say JiaHan. (To be explained in awhile)

Invited to this "xmas party" at the Batok church... Its kinda weird for me coz the cell grp is... Chinese Speaking! In fact almost everythins' in chinese! Lets imagine this, the stuffs we do, every programme on the list, its all chinese vers lol!

Ok, 1st we had some sing along sessions, xmas songs, not gospel or... Then we listened to a very short speech by a guy from the cell grp. Next up is a skit put up by the members. Rmb... everything is in chinese, even xmas songs! Come the last hour is a speech by this self proclaimed uncle then some games and gift exchange. Got a candle holder nya... attached to a frosted/painted glass.

Lastly, refreshments, managed to chat with some of the cell grp members, came to know tis guy whos currently studying last year at Med sch, last 3 months b4 graduation, great guy, OCS somemore... social-able and knowledgable. He shared his exp in the ns with me n ben... also some med stuff. The grp's 'tao' and some other members also very nice to us (me, mel, ben, earnie, desmond and jjguy). When i mentioned "Sam" to some pple around, they go like... huh? who? oh... Jiahan arh?... LOL this goes to sae that everything funcitons in chinese lol... even their service, camps n EVERYTHING! CoOl or...

Overall, the pple all very friendly, esp the girls, although abit siao siao 1 -.- Oh, btw while seating at this 3rd row bench... all the while i had tis weird feeling (not really dejavu but felt like 1), the girl infront damn familiar sia, the bei-ying and the voice oso lol. Then sam waz calling out "Tricia...smth smth smth". Yep, it is Tricia! Its either shes gone fat or i've grown tall, look quite diff from wad she was 20 months ago. She oso not sure if it was me... Wad a small world lol.

Ended the day with dinner at wm, charjiang mian nya!
Many pple said christians had bad rep for 'psychoing' pple to convert... well i wont agree to that. Some (esp teens) go church or 'convert' (wen they are not actually devoted) at their own will, to have fun with frens during dull weekends or maybe to go after a girl? So we think that its 'psycho-ed'... I think religion tis kinda ting is jus a belief... all religions pass 'good' teachings... to a much extent, cant say wads better, more 'cool', real or wadsoeva. Currently I'm a free thinker wich is a great thing...

Lets say if i'm to choose a religion? Jus from the main few religions i know
Christian: Never for life, dads' gonna 'ka chia' me coz christians cant hold joss sticks, i heard
Muslim: No way! muslim need to pray, fast and everything... naturally not wad i'd love to spend time on
Catholic: Mayb, but I dun really know much abt catholic stuffs
Hunduism: Am i elligible? but i wont.... those rituals require piercings... hell no!!!
Buddhism: Its said in my ID that im buddhism.. wth wrote that!?!? But i think its the closest to wad i'd go for....

Why? Lets see, Buddhism teachings are more... convincing? Real? Sensible? And it does not force u pray tis n that, praise tis n that... so its kinda free... pray if u wan to, buddha do not discrimintate those who do not pray or give offerings. If u pray, thats extra merit. So its more like u dun keep praying for some good ting or putting ur hopes on God, its more like... u knoe if ur doin the right ting, nth will screw up and Buddhas' teachings says the good shall be rewarded. This Karma thing sums up everything...

A Levels OVER!!!!

yep, A lvls ended, jc life ended, "compulsory edu" ended
Nv blog for quite some time, vowed not to go online for unofficial or nonsense stuff around 3 months ago. Not really as relieved as when finish O lvls, maybe coz nv study as hard tis time and like wad smurf said, hung between, not sure if results come out gd, true true.

A summary of performance for A's
1. GP: Most unpredictable, chose a simple topic, wrote logically, fluent i guess, not flashy though. Hopefully can pass, seriously, thats wad i hoped.
2. Econs: Not that bad, i think i did write lots of stuff tis time, sensible stuff, unlike and better than any previous pprs.
3. Maths: Most disappointing, dunno if its only me, maths damn difficult, for some reason, not confident of it. Maths suked since last year promo, been dropping for the past year.
4. Chem: Fav subj bah, hopefully can get A, put lots of effort in it. Maybe ppr 1 will screw everything, got around 26/40... B Zzz. Pray the rest can get better.
5. Phy: The lousiest subj since prelims but quite confident tis time. Physics wasnt supposed to b my weak subj lei... Sec sch still ok. A lvls phy easy except ppr 2? or issit 3? forgot...
6. Overall: Gimme at least BBB u crazy Angmohs!

Went to celebrate with smurf, rome, king and roge at some steamboat restaurant, spam lots of meat. Feeling abit nauseous now coz like some food consumed 80% cooked lol. Unknowingly also ate lots of mutton, feeling heaty now, probly cant sleep tonight. Still gonna Generals with Roge later.

Next comes a long list of things imma gonna do.

3. Refurnish room... room's freaking messy, notes lying around, taped on the wall. Have to clear em, move in the tv set, set up surround system, shift table somewer so that room can be party area anytime!

4. 're'Pick up piano... so long nv play nia, onli recently, during last few days of exam, bores/stress then go play play. Gonna master the ken hirai and beegees song. Must!

5. Travel... Goin backpack with king, roge, Smurf real soon, to msia thailand... mayb indonesia after cny, cant wait! Did some planning today but come only confirmed the dates and locations. Gonna b a budget trip, still worth it bah.

6. Cook... Cant take da bao food liao, nex year mum's gonna be away most of the time, since i most free mayb will cook ever 2 days bah. Must master a few dishes so that those fags wont complain.

7. Exercise u fatass!... since pre-prelim nv exercise much, at most once a week visit gym go stretch stretch. Die liao, benzene ring growing in charge density, need to do some work out. NS oso coming, cannot go on sloppy mode.

8. INT UP!... Wanna learn more comp stuff, software, hardware ,wdv. Cant depend on bro too much. He might be leaving for UK nex year, house comp need some1 to fix jus in case.

9. Watch Dramas... Crap, dl so many series nv watch, stacked to arnd 40 dvd-rs liao. New n nice 1s keep coming lol.

10. Learn some other language... Will do tis during free time bah, either jap, portugese or french. Oh ya, n hainanese, everytime onli hear grandma talk then only can 'oh' or 'you' or 'mei you' dammmmmm paiseh n nei jiu la.

08.08.08 at Sentosa

Well well well... nv blog for quite some time. This is for smth worth rmbring, outing at sentosa. Bob said that tis trip is kinda random, no proper planning, out of the blue during tbp lesson suggested it de.

Morning, was in sch for ndp celebration... the rtard ting is, every1's damn sian abt it, 1stly, now is olympic season lo, not alot would prefer chnl 5/8/U over those sports chnl. Then hor... ndp is like everyyear? olympics' 4 years! 2ndly, i wanna mug, so wont b watching ndp bah, same everyyear somemore. But tis year mayas' gonna go perform lol!

Talk abt the fun part in the after at sentosa. arrived at arnd 2-3pm? Went to some ulu beach... tanjong? at the Southeast. pee they all brought lots of food. Then thers volleyball and frisbee. Chose volleyball of course, more challenging and fun. Picked it up on monday pe lesson and bcame interested. Played for the whole afternoon till like6+pm. Lots of tings happened in between.

1. while playing as 1 big group... i tink it was aizen, who somehow hit the ball and got it on top of the tree. -.- spent like 30mins+ trying to get it down, 1st thow bottle, then climb tree, then lift neko up. finally, managed to find a long stick along the shore so we use get some1 to be lifted up again then use the stick to poke it down *clap clap* Other pple seem to b laughing at us lol.
2. We tried to use the so called "restaurant volleyball court". Bloodyhell, the manager/waiter like dun understand wad we were asking la, ls was damn pissed. i tink he jus wan us to move our bags somewer, coz its 'unsightly'.
3. Many other small funny tings that i cant rmb now...

Left the beach wen it gets dark. heng heng we got on the last tram! 10 of us went makan at vivo and the rest needa get back home early. damn damn tired, esp my foot! got home to watch the olympics opening replay and do usqueeze! Tired tired day, its the last till A levels liao. Studies all the way tml onwards :)

Early in da morn met up with json n alfone at BB coz fone's mum willing to drive us over (YAY :D)

Wow 1: We arrived at around 9+? then join the queue for some security check... then tis indian officer come from behind, tell us (3 of us) to follow him... lawl, so its like we trailed and cut the queue, some cjc pple queueing sian diao, see us go infront of em :P... End up we quite early reach ther, place quite empty (Nice)

ChuanShuo 1: The nite b4, boss told us to keep a distance from the guy at the urine station or else he'll get pissed... indeed! Got 1 guy damn joker, he showed it rite infront of the officers' face. Then hes like... stand back! stand back! stand back! Ok... throw the... Hahah, boss is right abt that guy!

Wow 2: At the blood sample station, e medic attending to me wad quite nice, telling some stuff abt the stations. Then came tis pui guy... then he was like... jialat lor, confirm miss liao, hoho, si liao! the pui guy got the more senior 'medic'/ ol guy (he was also shaking head). haha... i tink is coz cannot find the veins lawl, then confirm miss alot of times.

ChuanShuo 2: Every1 who went b4 me saes the comp part sux... totally... its like sit ther click click... answering some duno if there's onli 1 ans de qns... spent 1hr+, the maths part cannot finish -.-

Today bro went to pluck his wisdom teeth... poor poor, like sibei pain, can eat onli liquid stuff, then doctor tell him to eat ice cream!!! wadde?! its actually to clot the blood or smth liddat. Last nite he still drive me out to mac for supper and told me lots abt checkup... I see why he wants smth nice to eat b4 tis morning's surgery. Anyway i think its great to be the 2nd child... better if its 2nd son... got some1 tell u beforehand smth u've to eventually go thru... even htough always get 2nd hand stuff but... still good :)

清明时节雨纷纷,路上行人欲断魂... don't think so

Last weekend went back to msia for 清明节. The usual annual event, very very important though, honouring deceased relatives. Anyway its also like a spring day outing sorta occasion.

This years' 清明节not very fun coz short of lotsa pple. From 2伯family short of hweejie, from mine... bro not there coz suspected of dengue... on mc cannot leave home. 4叔and4婶themselves absent to watch Hanjie's graduation concert, yunjie still in US. 5婶dunno wer, Eujie and Yijie married liao... with new family and xi & fei somewer far schooling. Sigh~ pathetic, we're damn slow in the whole process of cleaning and praying, took longer than previous years coz short of manpower. zengjie describe previous years as '整个山都是我们的声音'. Indeed, we'd laugh and chit chat with lots of pple around during 清明节.

Ended like 10am (no time for prata breakfast) which is super late compared to last year, luckily weather not very hot and its breezy on the hills. Lots of pple were there b4 us... some ignite fire crackers!!! OMG la! thats gonna b damn loud coz got echo from such high places. Before leaving got a very interesting question posted by himgor to ten. This is how it goes:

MC camp 08

Wee~~~finally the camp is here! After all the planning n preparation for weeks... Friday to Sat, 20 hrs camp.

Before that was A level result release... both happiness and sorrows, PJ results not bad actually, quite a number straight A's de. Congrats to J3s, LOL! felt sorry for those who didnt make it or results not as gd de, some were seen crying, i dun even dare to take photos la, scared they emo then come rip my cam apart. Hmmm, other imp tings include release of A's MT results, got B Merit!!! Yay! think quite gd le la, coz didnt expect better, rmb during the ppr, treat it like some exercise ppr la, didnt really do it seriously :P but here it is... B!

Moving on to the camp, hmmm, total turn up arnd 20... a third of J1s n rest J2s. Starting off, had intro then fun games which was rather successful and most of us get to know each other names, know but not familiar. Sihui very enthu, nice nice, shes like the drive to all the events, thanks da si jie! Well, had bbq after that and I think it was a total failure, mainly coz of the food, too much, ended up throwing em. Felt really really bad abt wasting those food... sigh~

The schedule changed quite abit, no more debrief due to the retarded bbq. After cleaning up, went to bathe then go up to chiill alil in at the 'bunk'. At arnd 2am, me n Haozhao still havin meeting n doin planning for tml, poor her, dun tink she very used to this kinda jobs... staying up late for the 1st time, then have to accept lots of changes. I'm really really sorry for that gal... Hope u understand; mayb can treat this as a trial coz dun tink u've experienced much difficulties in 'work'. Pls dun hate me coz i know u feel fustrated and sad at one time coz i sound abit bossy and demanding, sorry sorry sorry! On the other hand thanks Jes for being the negotiator, that 1 sentence did enlighten her.

Aside from emo stuffs, Day 2, everything went as planned, well... sort of... the 1st part. morning call for every1, i slept like 5mins? Me n Haozhao went all over the sch to set up stations. Then at arnd 9 start the race... Here i shall evaluate each station

1) Human Twister
Was quite successful, the game was simple in the 1st place i tink, anyway hope every1 loves that game... originated from Negi Magi Magister!
2) Mentos wadeva
Supposed to be very simple game, blindfolds and tied legs, bowl of flour and bucket of coins. Only miscalculation is the pepper part... So sorry to all participations... didnt think the pepper cause so much discomfort. Its my idea! My Fault!
3) 3D Spiderweb
This started out to be horizontal web, last minute jus came out with this. Quite challenging i guess, like goin through a infra-red field... nth to evaluate on this.

Lastly, its water games, not really considered a station, mayb a final showdown? Start off with attack or block, abit way off from wad is planned, these people arh... as though must wet some1 then happy, they jus kept moving! Anyway, i was like 40% during tis game, and like getting to the end, 100% wet... Those J2s... Tady(particularly, must get me at all cost), Mai n Sihui... i guess nvm la, since they help set the mood, i cant possibly be pissed off. To get the programs running, proceed on to water bomb! Nth to sae, bombs away! Joined in the fun too, so so very fun that I forgot the time :P Ended like 12+. Had debrief then break camp.

Got bro to pick me up after leaving sch coz was totally beat... although no other casualties, my specs had, got chipped off coz off Guihao's attck, nvm i guess, accidents happen and its not like it'll affect me much. Got home straight away slp then only woke up for dinner...

More importantly, things that i learn through the camp. Being a leader is really not easy, esp when u need to earn respect and trust. Lucky the J1s very steady and also the J2s, quite cooperative. But i'm really really curious to know about every1s honest thoughts abt my performance as camp OIC, anything bad, crappy, shytty, Just tell me! Abt Haozhao's case, think that i'm mostly at fault, didnt put myself into your situation and duno u r so fragile and easily panicked. I'm too much concerned with getting the camp perfect... my bad, i'll rmb this lesson forever: to be in some1 else's shoes. Lastly, I'm glad that i had another perfect memory in PJ as a student, the fun times and people, thank you all of u for making my college dream come true!

The week's busy with hosting of students from China, the high sch I went to visit the last Dec break in 2007. Seeing my buddy again! My feeling was: omg! so not prepared to host him. Then wen heard its only 3 days, the feeling was: WAH! so little days, how to make him feel welcomed and blabla...

Anyway, 1st 2 days, we had school immersion stuffs, attending lessons together and for them, some talks and activities. Its just like what we did we we're in Beijing. Well... nth to comment for the 2 days, lessons? He jus listened and we talked abt some random crap, then we go hahaha!

Things worth mentioning is the last few hours they're in sch on the 3rd day. Since its the last day, there's this talk from the principal, then, mass lunch and some free time. During the talk in the Arcadia, damn paiseh la, coz supposed to take pics in the room, then i stumbled while rushing over to the front to take pics. Make some noise and every1 jus starred at me! Aiyah... felt so bad coz 1stly its my wrong to let the 'models' wait and being unprepared. 2ndly, I attract so much unecessary attention when cameraman is supposed to be the covet person. Mdm Kong even asked for my name, freak me out!

Later on got lunch, went to join Nadiah and her buddy for lunch, my buddy's table full liao. Nice meeting em, coz her buddy (trying to rmb the name,will update asap) kept trying to speak english to us... duh, for the sake of Nadiah. Anyway they also very high, with the rest of the people in that table. Makan makan then took some pics :D

After lunch, attended assembly, cannot really concentrate on the speakers coz its hot and stuffy and... the ppt is so badly designed? few hundred minutes spent on the ppt that can barely attract pples attention, so many words! At arnd 1.30pm+, we all went out as a grp, bringing our China buddies to Lot1. I didnt bring mine! coz he sae he wanna go play bball, then he had to stick arnd with Tze wei (sorry dude, mafan u take care of my buddy!) Anyway,I oso need to go lot1 get present for Jin, went with Tangwah to Watsons to get... condoms, lol, for Jin, so wanna see his face wen he open the present box! After shopping for some other random stuffs, went to meet the China dudes at the foodcourt. They were eating prata and some local delights. Anyway, while we were talking, i showed them the condom me n bro bought and i said its for bday present... The 2 ladies jus go LMAO and they were not awkward at all la! They even sae they bought lubricating oil for a guy's birthday back in Beijing! Then Kahkian also managed to trick his salted fish buddy (ChaoWei) that the pack of condom is sweet... LOL! He actually believed la and put it in his pocket (accepting the gift?) In the end tell him then he abit shy shy... Later on got 1 guy oso tio... ROLF, innocent teens. With exception of 1 guy, he knew wad issit by jus holding the box for 3 secs, according to ZhiXiang he very flurt de... thats y.

After makan, talk for awhile more then we chiong back to sch liao, actually still wanna go neoprint de budden no time. This means goodbye... Awww~~~ I dun wan~~~ wen we reached sch, every1 was gathering in the concourse area, taking pics, chatting, saying gd bye n stuffs. Sad sad scene. I talked with my buddy for the last 30mins, jus entertaining him... he himself abit passive actually, so didnt get very engaged in convos, I m the 1 alwes talking -.- While sending em off, we actually planned to make it a dramatic farewell, haha, chase bus! In the end no 1 do, i hold cam so cannot run.

So... Byebye to buddies from Beijing! we'll miss u! Hope to see ya'll again!

4 days of Cny celebration in Msia, every year stuff but this year was somehow exceptionally fun, mayb coz 1) every1's grown up 2) Come out with more stuff to do 3) A new generation is involved... every year, around b4 cny, hardly went back on chuxi to da shao chu... so paiseh let all of those who were there do.

Eve

After sch in the afternoon, got pulled over to westmall to do last minute shopping with mom n dad (suppose to hav class lunch, so paiseh psed em). Then very soon, set off at like 3+pm reaching jus in time for reunion dinner. Meat! Meat! Nothing really grand like shark's fin or abalone, budden its jus a special feeling eating with the family. Lots of us gathered in that Kampong house. Hoshus at the living room, the older gens at the kitchen n outside chatting. Bro fixed the router and tadah! Internet access for every lappy owners in da house! Its called Wireless@Pagoh... lol, sound so...starhub.

Later that nite, waited for countdown, it was after dinner, all chiong fireworks and sparkle stuffs! DAMN fun la! Even Ten & Pu played, lit one of the yan huas. Then we teens all play the 1 that shoots up then go boom de! We tried launching it from inside of a long pipe then also a double rocket, Song bo la!!! Ian kor bought the retarded 8 bucks 1... thought is gonna b super cool, budden so sian la: SCAMMED! Before 12am, dad also dragged me all the way to muar the guanyin temple to pray, coz got this thing fan tai shui... for all the horses, so its advised to go pray for a smooth year. No objections, jus go lo, play safe.

Its 12am! Happy New Year! After countdown, all chiong to see fire works... Lol, lucky is kampong area, police not so active arnd ther. Whenever got some 'pah, pak, boom' noise, we all chiong outside go see which household light the fire crackers... The Hos' did is too but ours sibei short compared to others... Got 1 household... wth la, 100m of the fire crackers, like 10mins then finish. Me n Leehom watch like 2mins zhao back to play our stuffs.

Sleep at arnd 4am... shou shui (guard sleep) then also look over the candles... duno for wad actually, custom & tradition stuffs, jus follo lo. 1st to giv angbao, Ahpo of course!

Day1

Overslept! zOMG! Missed out so much fun... woke up at 11am... damn. Aunts n uncles giv out angbao session gone... lucky they still rmb to giv me later in the day. 5shu already gathered so many people to play cards liao, most of which is the Hoshu gen. sian sian woke up by Ten n Pu, go eat branch then change into new clothes coz got many guests coming. Since its 1st day of ny, must pamper myself with loads of crap... food esp. My usual diet (every hr): sweets, green peas, roast nuts, Carlsb (share with shuyi), Angelia Shandy, Prawn crakers and other random crap that can b found in the kitchen or living room.

Played cards, games talk kok, sing song, watch tv all the way till evening then... the very least expected activity: play badminton. Wth... 1st day new year, play badminton... Its nth wrong actually jus that, after so much food, wear nice nice clothes, have to change to exercise, then scared nex dae too tired to continue go bainian. Also played bball... then day 1 ended with most of us worn out.

Day2

Woke up slightly earlier, 10 lol! Usual diet... can drinks! Nuts! Sweets! ate very little during proper meals coz of all these :D Lunch went do Muar @ Big aunts' house, steamboat! Was playing with zhizhi while watching THE MYTH... nice nice. Coolest thing: zhizhi's baby bro, liankhang was super-duper-mega-uber-ultra-bwg KAWAII la! Indeed, he received the nation's cutest baby award 2008, got news article on him pasted on the wall. Make some noise infront of him, he'll jus laugh, its like he shared your joy. Arms stretched out, confirm crawl towards u... zOMG la! 1st time see him, bwg... too good to b true.

Evening went back, no more badminton... at night went to eat dinner @ Oasis bay, food normal normal la, but we had lotsa fun taking pics by the river! All the other guest and visitors stared at us and like all giggling la... LOL! Heck! Nite went back to eat yongjie's birthday cake which is so oishii coz got yogurt in the top layer. Sleep quite late also... watching Starmovies with Leehom, Chuin, Shuyi and Youyou.

Day3

Yosh! Last day in Msia, must spend wisely. Actually every1 abit slack slack liao. Feel like new year long time gone liao, mayb coz played too much. Since its Saturdae... rmbed got hw... n i happened to bring them jus that nv take out for the past 3 days :P Did onli like very lil bit coz Ten was bugging me the whole afternoon, she seem like gonna b very lonely coz holidaes gonna end and every1 leaving, somemore its her birthday todae! After lunch, another round of birthdae songs n cake. Back to SG... @ arnd 12... stupid traffic jam at SG custom... Wth Sg officials thinking? So inefficient, even msia custom no serious jam la.

Back at home, prepared for bainian the next day with classmates... Go zzz while reflecting:

CNY is alwez fun with the family, esp with many many people. Then somemore if got long holidae, can really enjoy myself! Now that many of us had grown up, I realised cny not only food n angbao, its really abt family reunion and moments we all spent together...

Merry Christmas 07 from Indonesia!

Bloggin overseas, somewer abit far from home, Indonesia, Sumatra island, Lampung, somewer south, near the town... in my uncle's house. We kinda have a family gathering for xmas with relatives from mum's side. Since internets' avail here, thought that i'd blog to keep record but only for this day and the events for today.

Wake up quite early by aunt Olive, she kinda threatened somehow and by someway. Today's another long trip to somewer like acrosss to another island. Actually intend to depart at 7.30am budden in the end drag till like 10.30 or so then leave. Very not punctual, left at the same time with dad, hes off to work even during xmas... feel so sorry. Few hours drive till the port, harbour or wadeva then travel on ferry, with the car inside the vessel. The ride was around 2 hrs, we went to the air-conditioned cabin to rest. Well, gained abit coz I use tis time to do maths :P, cant believe it, after so long, finnaly touched hw. Even though only 1 paper, at least SOMEthing, 2hrs doesnt seem so long with stupid maths ppr, wich is also so around 2hrs per ppr.

Then is another crappy car ride from the 'wer the ship docks' to the town, no choice but to chiong DS till the batt drained. After like an hour plus of drive on the shytty road which is all rocky and full of undulations, finally arrived. Expected, once reached, got dog bark from aunt susi's dog, Jacky, then the other 1, Kelly, will sniff my foot. Had so called dinner, like, just a crackpot party or smth, local delights. Then later gather around on the floor to chat and talk, very very enjoyable and fun! Talk abt from the most unsual creepy things to discussions about dogs and animals. Jacky was damn funny, he get jealous damn easily, if couz agnes hugs aunt or if Kelly gets hugged by aunt, he'd just bark all the way then snarl. Then heard of many story and behaviours abt this 'almost human like' Jacky, only difference in sound and looks

Promos... ended(!)

For around ten days nv blog le. ve'been preparing for promos and... sitting for the papers. Promos ended today with Physics as last paper. Even thought realised that its finally free time, budden jus no mood to celebrate. Probably bcoz too tired and then... personally tink that Promos nt too well done.




just a brief report, all papers except for maths were badly done, esp econs and physics. Now seriously wonder if can promote onot, i definately wont wanna retain. At least Gp i tink i did my best, hope will improve and encourage me. Wait for results liao... Coming nex 7days all sch holidae. Mayb will jus slack at home or go out with frens. Other than that plan to go swim n gym...


Smth for a change bah, today damn tiring day. after papers went to Sp to eat lunch with rome they all. Haha, went to see Fiona xie, wich kinda suk la. Rome n quan kept saying very dissapointing, simmi not pretty, dressing sux and boobs nt big enough. LOL! Rome jus brighten my day with his lame jokes and strange use of vulgarities. Later on went Queensway to look for shoes and gloves. Gloves like too Ex, so nv buy. Shoes last minute then got a Everlast shoe. The addidas 1 all kns, mainstream 3 stripped. Nike 1s oso no nice 1s... so found this Everlast shoe as we combed through the mall n stopped to see sleeves shoes. Following, go meet Askae before dinner in IRC. Met sijin, tangwah and those class dota freaks. Watch rome waste his Lan money, haha, but amusing for me la, he played the butcher ting, damn funny, kept scolding lots of shyt.

For desserts went to mac at KAP for sundaes, lots of peeps ther studying (wonder how they do that, so freaking noisy la). Jus keep laughing lo, reminising old times. Even learn some tricks from roge on rubic cubes, n ther behind him got 2 kids also playing 1 lah, and they r liek more freaking pro!

(3/4)E3 Reunion BBQ 07'!!!

Woosh! Its been so long, nearly half a year, its gonna be E3 peeps getting together again! Unfortunately, some PS-kias failed to attempt, actually more like 'alot'. In the end pathetic-ly left wit the usual guys + zaid + sy + jt( all the way from da east!) + 2 ladies). Jacq and Precy!!! Alwaes so steady;D! And very funny too, alwes want to take pictures... 50% got them in the photos taken 2dae lo. I start taking photos wen it gets dark, wen some peeps were leaving. Decided to take a group photo, in the end jus took it n play around. Pretty much shots, around 120. Pretty fun for a bbq despite the heroes( they saved the event) who attended. B4 everyting start oso got rain wich got us panicked, but still manage to start fire ( in the rain) and there! successful indeed... Photos will tell more of the joy and excitement for this event... quite alot. Roll on!

Teachers' day!!!

Ooops... kinda late for posting, supposed to be 3 days ago. Anyway, got teachers day celebration last fri, got concert and a walk in conjunction with aces day (spelled?) So... Happy Teachers' Day!!!

S22... went for the walk in the morning, damn the rocky/muddy terrain, dun really feel like walking. The whole morning was somehow, moody, mayb also coz last nite nv slp. ( chat with some peeps and do hw) canal route, lousy as expected. Somemore TWSS losers also ther, sibei sian, cramped on those...lane. Concert was abit more fun! got some student performances, costume competition and Fashion show. The performances... as usual some geeks singing or playing + dancing. The unique 1 was the cheerleading performance! N.I.C.E, Colin was up ther!!! 1st thought he join bowling or smth with those cool gloves...

Then later got this cosplay event, for some president charity thing.. which i dun tink any1 will donate a penny to it... The costumes quite cool btw, got all sorts of cosplay, zoro, naruto, MIB, SBSP, etc... Kangfeng dressed as a jounin!!! I went to take picture with him too, but too blur, show liao oso cant see properly ( noob jes!) The almost last part last the teachers' fashion parade!! Wah! most attention catching event of that day... The males, dressed till so gay? (except some like patrick) The females... some quite nice la, but mostly average lo... 1st time see the econs doll lecturer smile, but still very weird. Cant show the pic... no consent.

Exhibition Day 2007 @PJC

Hmph~ todae was exhibition day at pjc, they sae were the 1st batch to do tis. Guess it'll go well. Prepare for almost 1 week... cost me like 3hrs of slp the previous dae. Overall quite gd i tink. If i,m not wrong, best among all grps, besides the music band grp, their music damn floud, affect my grp... Nevertheless, we still managed to get quite alot of ppl to do the surveys and play the games. Jonny become my mascot liao!!! He go ther WCG every1, play all the Hx,HD,Imba songs. Thanks man... for staying on through the event. Anyway, besides O2mania on my lappy, oso got tangwah's ps2. Very attention seeking, the game guitar hero... wonder y so fun even without the guitar(controller). Guess we'll it'll be jus fine without the dance mat!

5th BBQ of the year

Oh my~~~.. bbq again... So far tis year total 5 times liao... 1st is with the PAE dudes wich rox totally and so far da best. 2nd was with E2 pple... oso quite fun but the rain jus dampens the event. 3rd is with MC, sux, very unfamiliar. 4th Is me Bday!!! 5th is.... bros' bday.

Lin's bday is actually on weds... we went to eat out that nite, tonite bbq just to invite his frens n stuffs. Its not too late, HAPPY BIRTHDAY Kor!!! wish u pass NS smoothly, start studying for U bah! Anyway, never post for the whole week, too busy thats y nv wish him on weds.

The whole week, i've been sleeping at no earlier than 12am... rushing tutorials and tests. Although i rejoice for the cca free week, but the remidials and sch stuff can take over cca time liao... As usual la, i got nth much to sae abt the workload, from here onwards, i shall not mention much of the ' so many work'.

today, 24th aug, watch the GP movie, quite inspirational, meaningful rather than exciting. Abt some fagts using africans to test drugs... tragic, it happened all around the world. Later nite got bbq, lots of pple. Our family got 1 pit and bros' fren 1 pit.... but food actually share share, only the tending is by ourselves. I went for bball with nic, duno y all the near shots miss... then toe damn pain summore wen i landed by the forefoot. later just go and play badminton with maya and matt.

To speak of it, i;m sick of bbq, the food, the cleaning and the preparation. I would prefer jus sit around, eat and talk... nex bq... i'll just do the cooking...

Afternoon got really full of food, mayb i shall just name em out: Chicken wings, Pork ribs, Chicken Curry, Vegs( oily), Brocolli n some stuff, Fried noodles, Fried rice, Sushi, cakes, curry puff, watermelon, satay, Ketupat, Shandy, etc... Cant remember for now, only those i ate. I ate 2 rounds, with some nibs in between on satays n cakes. Guess weigth 1kg more now... Cursed, tis week eat alot. Got BBQ, durian and so many shyt.

Anyway morning also go eat prata... confirm is damn full, around 11am too near lunch. The whole dae 'manage' to study Organic Arenes la. Cant finish, sleep halfway. Lee Hom's bk was useful, i wished i could hav that bk, nex time go msia buy.

Btw, sat went to higher edu day... got to know lots of stuff. Opened to thought to study in Canada too, i tink quite gd ther. Mayb consider ANU too. But i still consider NUS 1st la. if cant i wan go overseas. My aim: Medicine. Got bck to msia n talk to sziao jie abt it. She's PHD in a Uni!!! Congrats!!! She talks abt the study exp n stuff, guess it'll will be tough for me to pursue tis. Gambatte!!!
